Most pubs, restaurants, and cafes are situated on the A183 Chester Road that joins Grindon to the city centre. Of course, Sunderland is home to fantastic attractions, and there is always something going on. There you will find all the top high street stores, as well as boutiques and high-end designer shops.

An advantage of living in the Grindon area of Sunderland is that you are on the city’s peripheral. The suburb is at the corner where the A183 joins the A19, meaning that seaside towns such as South Shields, Whitley Bay, and Seaham are only a short drive away. Newcastle is also a 25-minute journey by car, whilst Durham City Centre is just 22 minutes.
